Dr. Mark Barlow MD, Plastic Surgeon in Houston, Clear Lake, Texas

Hi there! I'm Michelle, Patient Liaison. That just means that I assist your patient coordinator in executing all of the details to get you through your procedures and follow-up care.

Prior to working for Dr. Barlow, I occasionally worked with him when he had reconstructive consults in the neonatal and pediatric units at Clear Lake Regional Hospital.

I am one of the few members of our team who came to the office with medical experience. I've also known Dr. Barlow most of my life, so you might imagine how pleased I was that he allowed me to become part of your team. I had to prove to Dr. Barlow that I hadn't fallen victim to one of the pitfalls of medicine: burnout and loss of compassion.

Medicine requires 100% of a person and that can take a toll on medical professionals. Just as then, my job here is to make certain that all of Dr. Barlow's orders for your care are executed completely and properly. I want you to know that I'm not burned out; I'm just getting started. I did not bring any bad habits or low levels of compassion with me. I'm here to stay, and I'm at your service!
